The participation fee includes:
- venue hire;
- stand with fascia board, table, four chairs and lights
- stand size in Taipei: 2 metres high, 2 metres wide, 3 metres long for the normal stand; 2 metres high, 2 metres wide, 2 metres long for the School Zone stand;
- stand size at all other venues: 2.5 metres high, 2 metres wide, 2 metres long;
- PR campaign: press conference, advertising on web, television, radio, newspapers, magazines, street banners, flyers, other;
- market briefing and reception;
- discounted hotel rates and local transport (free coach service provided from Kaohsiung to Taichung and Taichung to Hsinchu).
Stand sharing is available at a premium of twenty per cent on the cost of participation for Taiwan subscribers and 50 per cent for all other institutions.
Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.
Organised by British Council Taipei, the Bureau of International Cultural and Educational Relations (BICER), Ministry of Education and the Foundation for International Co-operation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET), this conference will take place on Monday 5 November 2007 in Taipei.
The purpose of the conference is to:
- build up mutual understanding on current internationalisation agenda between the HE institutions in Taiwan and the UK;
- share best practice and experiences in institutional links;
- facilitate direct dialogue and communication between HE institutions in Taiwan and the UK.
There will be networking opportunities built into the Conference for participants to share practices and exchange views outside of the formal discussion setting.
The participation fee is:
- Taiwan subscribers: free-of-charge
- All other institutions: GBP 450 per institution
The fee includes materials produced by the organiser and access to all activities under the Conference programme. There is space for 60 to 80 UK institutions, with a maximum of three delegates per institution.
Taiwan has a strong focus on business related subjects, as well as applied linguistics and art & design.

In response to feedback about the previous reception, we will change the model of this event to a joint celebration with the HE conference delegates on Sunday 4 November 2007. This event is subject to demand from UK and Taiwan representatives.

The participation fee does not include freight costs and these are the responsibility of the participating institution.
