Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.

In response to feedback from exhibitors at last year's event, a number of changes have been made to the format of the exhibition. The market briefing has been separated into a first-timers' briefing session and a market update. The stalls for the exhibition in Colombo will be moved to the ballroom and the alphabetical order of the stands will be reversed to run from Z to A. In Kandy, the opening hours for the exhibition have been changed to 1230 to 1730 in response to visitor feedback. Within the opening hours, schools will be invited to visit the exhibition between 1230 and 1430 and the exhibition will be open to the public after 1430, with the opportunity to provide appointments. Additional elements will also be incorporated into the promotional campaign for the exhibition in Kandy, in order to raise awareness of education in the UK.

This year, we have set a target to reduce our overall exhibition costs by 12 per cent. The total exhibition costs have risen by 33 per cent in Colombo and by eight per cent in Kandy. The main reason for these cost increases is the 29 per cent rate of inflation in Sri Lanka, which has affected all aspects of the exhibition budget. The exchange rate has also had an unfavourable impact on the costs for the 2009 event.
