Russia Partnership meeting

Regional events
Following feedback we received at the last two Russia Partnership meetings suggesting the provision of regional events in Russia, British Council Russia have planned to work with Kulik (a local agent) to organise regional events in Ekaterinburg and St. Petersburg. These events will be held in the week leading up to this Education UK Exhibition on the following dates:

  • Ekaterinburg: 25 September 2007
  • St. Petersburg: 27 September 2007

In order to improve on the quality and accessibility of the agent-run regional events this year, we plan to do the following:

  • run exhibitions in these cities in partnership with Kulik with a strengthened British Council presence, by hosting more presentations and only allowing eligible institutions to attend;
  • run these events one week before the Moscow exhibition;
  • invite UK institutions to join roundtable discussions with Russian HE institution representatives and alumni to discuss how we can reach more regions outside traditional ones in future years.

We will be looking into providing regional events as part of the main exhibition in the future and will be in contact to seek feedback on this at a later date.
