Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.
The participation fees stated above incorporate a 'credit crunch' contingency and are the maximum that participants will be charged. If this additional contingency is not called upon, participants will be invoiced for less than the maximum fee.
Exhibition costs in Nigeria for 2009 were significantly affected by the global economic situation due to unfavourable exchange rates and the falling value of sterling. The costs of venue hire and advertising in particular were affected. In addition to the fact that exchange rates have stabilised, a number of additional cost savings have been made for 2010 and we are pleased to announce a reduction in participant costs as follows: 43 per cent in Kano; 22 per cent in Abuja; and 24 per cent in Lagos. Savings have been achieved in the following areas:
- Exhibitions in Kano will now use a table and chair format, moving away from the traditional shell scheme booth
- We will no longer be providing a sit-down lunch, but will be providing light refreshments and sandwiches at the exhibitions. This has allowed us to remove the costs of hiring additional rooms to accommodate the dining area.
It is strongly advised that institutions send representatives from the UK to staff their stands rather than using local agents only, since students expect to meet UK representatives and not agents, who they can meet anytime.
