After successful completion of the Education UK Exhibition held in February 2009 in Nepal, Career Search, on behalf of the British Council, is organising an Education UK Exhibition in Kathmandu, Nepal, for the fourth time. The proposed dates are 14 to 15 February 2010 and will follow on from the Education UK Exhibition in India, which concludes on 11 February 2010 in Pune.

The target audience is:

The number of stalls available is limited, so you are requested to book your space as early as possible.

The participation fee is GBP 800 and includes:

  • airport pickup and drop off
  • accommodation for three nights in a five star hotel (one single superior or one double superior)
  • venue hire with 24-hour security
  • seminar hall equipped with LCD projector and screen for presentations (kindly book a time slot)
  • meeting room for private counseling (must check availability with the organiser)
  • free Internet access (available at the communication centre at the venue)
  • pick up and drop off from hotel to venue and vice-versa during the fair
  • Octonorm stall of standard size, nine square metres (three metres face by three metres depth) with carpeted floor, two tube lights, one table and two chairs, one power plug point
  • stall attendant (kindly confirm if required)
  • two bottles of mineral water for each stall, lunch coupon, evening tea / coffee
  • English and Nepali national daily newspapers
  • welcome and exhibition briefing by the British Council
  • cocktail closing dinner for all participants
  • distribution of mementos in the same dinner programme
  • promotion and publicity:
    • print advertisements in the leading English and Nepali newspapers, magazines and periodicals
    • press releases and press conferences before the fair
    • invitations to the target audience
    • on-air advertisements on FM radio stations
    • television commercials
    • mass e-mail
    • TV scroll
    • direct telephone campaign
    • hoarding board display.

The participation fee does not include freight costs. DTDC, SKY NET, UPS, DHL, FedEX, First Flight are available in Kathmandu. You can choose any one of these to send your freight.

A maximum of two persons are requested to remain at the stand during the exhibition.

Colleges are required to have at least DIUS registration and BAC accreditation.

This event is now closed for applications.

The process for applying to participate in this event is as follows:

  1. Contact Career Search Pvt Ltd or British Council Nepal to check the availability of stands at the exhibition.
  2. After confirming the availability of a stand, download the Download PDF Document electronic space reservation form (27KB), complete it and send it to Career Search Pvt Ltd by e-mail, fax or post.
  3. Fifty per cent of the total participation cost is to be sent with the form. Payment can be made by wire transfer or banker's draft. Please prepare the banker's draft in favour of Career Search Pvt Ltd, payable at Kathmandu. Wire transfer is preferred.
  4. Once payment has been received, event participation will be considered valid.
  5. The name, nationality and flight details of the person attending the event must be provided to Career Search Pvt Ltd after the stand has been confirmed, for booking accommodation.
