The participation fee includes:
- standard table (0.45 metres by 1.8 metres) and six chairs (three for institution representatives, three for visitors); there is no back panel, but there will be space for small free-standing banners
- additional room and equipment hire
- advertising and publicity
- hire of temporary staff and interpreters
- freight between British Council Tokyo and British Council Osaka.
Stand sharing will be made available at a premium of twenty per cent on the stand costs.
Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.
The continuing strength of the Yen means that there has been a significant increase in the participation fees for this event compared to the previous year ; however, this strength will have a positive impact on the recruitment of Japanese students to UK institutions, as the UK is now a much more financially suitable option. The change of date from the end of March to mid-April has been done to coincide with the start of term in Japan, which will enable better advertising in universities and increase visitor numbers.
The participation fees stated above incorporate a 'credit crunch' contingency and are the maximum that participants will be charged. If this additional contingency is not called upon, participants will be invoiced for less than the maximum fee.
EFL Brochure Exhibitions will be held at the Tokyo and Osaka venues of these Education UK Days events. The Brochure Exhibitions are open to all Education UK Partnership members and UK institutions with EFL programmes accredited by the British Council Accreditation UK scheme and are free-of-charge to participate in.
In addition to the generic aims of all Education UK Exhibitions, the aims of this event are to:

- assist UK institutions in promoting EFL programmes through Brochure Exhibitions
- attract users of education-related products and services of British Council Japan to seminars and counselling on studying in the UK.
- Postgraduate studies (one year Masters), especially in the humanities, social science and creative arts fields
- MBA programmes
- One year study abroad programmes
- Foundation courses leading to undergraduate admission, especially in the humanities, social science and creative arts fields
- Art and design – art foundation
