Key details

Date Location Participation fee for Partnership members Participation fee for all other institutions Maximum number of participants
22 to 23 August 2009 Hong Kong GBP 3,435 GBP 6,870 79

The participation fee includes:

  • venue hire
  • 7.5 square metres stand, one fascia board, two information counters, one lockable cupboard, four chairs, two florescent lights, one socket, one rubbish bin
  • PR campaign: Press releases and press invitations, advertising on local websites, printed advertisements in local newspapers, postcards to be posted out to approximately 60,000 households, event announcement in British Council monthly newsletter to 20,000 registered members and front of house promotion
  • market briefing and event management update
  • discounted hotel rates.

Stand sharing is available at a premium of 20 per cent on the cost of participation.

Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.

The participation fees stated above incorporate a 'credit crunch' contingency and are the maximum that participants will be charged. If this additional contingency is not called upon, participants will be invoiced for less than the maximum fee.

Due to the current economic climate and the additional credit crunch contingency, we have been unable to reduce the exhibition costs compated to the previous exhibition. These charts (11KB GIF image) show the cost breakdown for the exhibition in August 2008 compared to this exhibition and show an increase of 12.8 per cent. We have ensured that all costs have been kept to a minimum whilst maintaining the standards and expectations of an Education UK exhibition.

Trans-national Education (TNE) Zone
The exhibition will feature for the second time a Trans-national Education (TNE) Zone for local providers of UK programmes taught in Hong Kong and the region. This follows on from the success of the pilot TNE Zone in February 2009. Only courses that are fully-accredited in the UK will be promoted in this Zone. Invitations will be sent to locally-registered providers in due course. If your institution is offering programmes in Hong Kong and wishes them to be featured in this event, please encourage your partner institution to look out for the invitation. Space will be limited to a maximum of ten nine square metres stands. For more information about our TNE services, please contact Juhanie Cheung, Education Manager, British Council Hong Kong.
