Key details

Date Location Participation fee for Partnership members Participation fee for all other institutions Maximum number of participants
18 February 2009 Kumasi, Ghana GBP 665 GBP 1,330 27
20 to 21 February 2009 Accra, Ghana GBP 1,910 GBP 3,820 40

The participation fee includes:

  • venue hire
  • nine square metres stand, facia board, one table, four chairs, lights, sockets
  • PR campaign: press conference, advertising on television, radio, newspapers, street banners, flyers, posters
  • market briefing, reception, institutional / school / agent visits, stand assistants, refreshments
  • discounted hotel rates, airport transfers, local transport
  • promotional items including booklets for visitors, T-shirts, pens, pull up banners and branded note pads.

Stand sharing is available at a premium of 20 per cent on the cost of participation.

Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.

We have been able to reduce the costs in Accra by 14.3 per cent compared to last year's event. Unfortunately ,For Kumasi, we have not been able to reduce the costs by our target of 12 per cent – the costs have instead increased by 2.2 per cent due to inflation, increasing costs of the hire of the venue and increased advertising efforts.

The participation fees stated above incorporate a 'credit crunch' contingency and are the maximum that participants will be charged. If this additional contingency is not called upon, participants will be invoiced for less than the maximum fee.
