12 to 14 March 2007

This mission in Shenyang and Nanjing, China, will specialise in promoting UK vocational education in China and provide an opportunity for UK participating institutions to establish long-term partnerships with local institutions. The events comprise a half-day workshop and a half-day visit to local Vocational Education Training institutions. The mission will utilise the Education UK brand to reinforce the impact of excellence of UK Vocational Education and Training among the target audience.

The mission aims to bring together

  • representatives from the FE sector in the UK;
  • representatives from Vocational institutions in China;
  • government and administrative departments involved in vocational education in China.

The participation fee includes:

  • venue;
  • reception;
  • networking meeting with local potential partners;
  • visit to local institutions.

Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.


Aims

In addition to the generic aims of all Education UK Exhibitions, the aims of this event are to:

  • understand the current situation within the Vocational Education and Training sector in the selected market;
  • explore ways of developing opportunities in Sino-UK partnerships;
  • showcase UK vocational education and training – both in curriculum development and industry cooperation.

Visa requirements
Visas are required for UK passport holders. Other passport holders should check with their travel agent or contact the Consulate or Embassy of the country they plan to visit.


Cancellation
Cancellation fees will be charged for withdrawal from this event, as of the date of receipt of notice of withdrawal:

  • 50 per cent of the full event cost for withdrawals received on or after 12 February 2007
  • 100 per cent of the full event cost for withdrawals received on or after 26 February 2007

Notice of cancellation must be given by e-mail to educationuk.events@britishcouncil.org. You will receive a confirmation message within one week of your cancellation.
