EuroPosgrados 2007, Argentina
5 to 6 October 2007

An Download PDF Document event report (82KB) [Education UK Partnership password required] is available.

This will be the second edition of EuroPosgrados - the success of the first edition has quickly positioned the exhibition as one of the more important higher education exhibitions in Argentina. With more than 5,000 participants, EuroPosgrados 2006 was an extremely successful event, reaching target audiences with a profound interest in studying abroad. All the UK institutions that took part in EuroPosgrados 2006 rated its organisation, promotion and results as either very good or excellent, and sixty-six per cent expressed interest in participating in future editions.

EuroPosgrados 2007 is co-organised by the British Council, CampusFrance, DAAD, the Spanish Embassy and the Delegation of the European Commission to Argentina. As well as the promotion / recruitment exhibition, we are organising a number of parallel conferences and seminars, where EU and Argentine education policies will be discussed and co-operation possibilities explored. We are working on this with the Ministry of Education and Brussels, which should raise the profile of the whole event and in turn attract more people to the exhibition.

In Argentina, the British Council has five years of experience collaborating with our European partners in education promotion. Through this relationship, we have been able to boost our reach and exposure by combining our experience and contacts.

This event is being coordinated with the British Council in Chile who is holding a similar exhibition on 2 and 3 October 2007. This is an excellent opportunity to visit both counties in one week and have the chance to meet prospective students with similar a profile from two key countries in the region.

Brochure / poster exhibition
This year, British Council Argentina and Chile will be offering a brochure / poster exhibition as well as the main event. The brochure / poster model is designed to enable those that have already been operating in the market to enhance their profile and for new-comers to the market to test the market potential before investing in a more expensive promotional visit.

This Brochure / Poster Display Exhibition offers UK institutions an extremely low cost promotional opportunity in both Chile and Argentina, without the necessity to send a representative to the exhibition. British Council staff will oversee the institutions' displays and collect student registration details to forward to the participating institutions. The cost is therefore for an exclusive promotional display space at each venue only. However, institutions are welcome to send a representative to any of the events at their own additional cost. At previous events, institutions have made effective use of alumni and or exchange students in country to assist in raising their profile at the events.

The participation fee for the brochure / poster exhibition is:

  • Education UK Partnership members: GBP 300
  • All other institutions: GBP 600

The participation fee includes:

  • venue hire;
  • 2.5 square metres stand, facia board, table, one chair, lights, sockets;
  • PR campaign: press conference, advertising on web, cable TV, radio, newspapers, professional magazines, street banners, flyers at universities;
