Training and development events terms and conditions

This is the terms and conditioned agreed by:
'The Organiser', the British Council, and the 'Institution' is the eligible institution, or its representative, that has made a successful application to the Organiser to participate at a training and development event.


Accredited institutions
All participating institutions must be accredited by a recognised UK authority as specified in the Education UK Partnership eligibility criteria.


Selection criteria
The Organiser reserves the right to select institutions to take part in an event based on the selection criteria as stated below, plus any additional criteria given in the event details. Applicants will be notified in writing of the decision.

Prior to the application deadline, space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If the event is open to non-Partnership member institutions and the number of applications exceeds the number of spaces, selection will take place with priority given in the folowing order:

Partnership member institutions
all other eligible non-Partnership member institutions

If an event is oversubscribed, a waiting list will be created. Institutions will be placed on this list according to the selection criteria. Spaces will only be offered to those on the waiting list if additional space has been made available due to a cancellation.


Payment schedule
The Organiser will invoice Institutions after the event has taken place. Terms of payment are within 30 days of the invoice date. Participants will be invoiced for all additional items ordered. Payment for additional items will be required 30 days after receipt of the invoice. In accordance with the Organiser's audit procedures, reminder letters will be issued for all outstanding invoices over 45 days. Until all invoices are cleared, a block will be placed on the Institution’s account. Further applications to participate in events and other organised programmes of activity cannot be accepted until all outstanding invoices have been paid.


Cancellation
Any cancellation received less than 21 working days before the event will be liable for the full fee. Replacement delegates can be accepted at any time.

The Organiser cannot accept responsibility for delegates' travel or accommodation costs should the event be unavoidably rescheduled or postponed.

The Organiser reserves the right to change programme and speaker details, should this be unavoidable.
