Marketing campaign in collaboration with UK Visas
Jointly funded by UK Visas and PMI2, a nine-month marketing campaign on the top tips for visa applications via multiple channels was launched late-June 2007. Nine months on, the awareness-raising campaign and monthly marketing drive has resulted in an increased acceptance rate and more comprehensive and higher quality supporting documents.

This seminar focussed on:

  • barriers identified for the high refusal rate of visa applications by Nigerian students;
  • top tips devised to guide applicants;
  • results to date;
  • practical steps forward to advise students.

This session was delivered by:

  • Jason Ivory, Head of Visa Section, British High Commission in Nigeria
  • Tim Nicholson, British High Commission in Nigeria
  • Winnie Eley, Deputy Director, British Council Nigeria
