Communication has taken place through various methods. A secure web blog has been set up where the children can send messages and pictures to each other. This has been good for developing relationships and forwarding the objectives. The eTwinning portal has also been used for communication between staff and pupils, who are registered users.
The twin space for this project has been made public so you are free to have a look around. The chat room in the twin space was very useful for staff to plan stages of the project and make arrangements for a visit to Malaga as part of a Comenius project. Video conferencing equipment has been installed in both schools and is being tested for future use.
The most beneficial aspects have been the enhancement of the curriculum across different subject disciplines, the mutual understanding of each other’s language and culture and the communication between the partners, through various media.
This was evidenced in some of the art work done by the English children using Picasso as a stimulus as he was born in Malaga, the twin city. The children's language learning was developed and improved by writing and emailing in the partner's language.
