Queen's University Belfast
Founded in 1845, Queen's has over 25,000 students and is part of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive UK universities. Queen's has an international reputation for innovation in the curriculum and in teaching, combined with a student-centred ethos and close relationships with commerce, industry and the community.
 University of Ulster
The University of Ulster has 28,000 students and is the largest on the island of Ireland. It has four campuses: Belfast, Jordanstown, Coleraine and Magee; and through its wide range of courses is dedicated to excellence in teaching, learning and research. Many courses include placement options and the University has partnerships with academic institutions worldwide.
Stranmillis University College
Stranmillis University College is ipart of Queen's University Belfast and has trained teachers for 90 years. It is a recognised centre of excellence and offers undergraduate degrees in educational and vocational areas. It also offers postgraduate courses and consultancy services for professionals in the community. Stranmillis uses professional placement as an integral part of the study process, and participates in a variety of initiatives for study at partner institutions abroad.
 St Mary's University College
Opened in 1900, St Mary's University College is committed to the search for meaning and value in intellectual life, to academic excellence and to individual attention to students. St Mary's offers Bachelor and Master's degrees plus other postgraduate awards and is academically integrated with Queen's University. It has around 1300 full and part time students and is very international in its outlook and character.
Colleges of Further and Higher Education

The further and higher education sector in Northern Ireland attracts one in three 16-17 year old school leavers and has over 200,000 learners a year. It is Northern Ireland’s most integrated educational sector and employs over 7,400 people both full time and part time. Together the 6 Further and Higher Education Colleges are Northern Ireland’s main skills provider.

 Research and Innovation
Northern Ireland is able to provide centres of ground breaking research programmes, for example at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen's University and the Centre for Molecular Biosciences at University of Ulster. Both were recently rated 5 and 5* by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
English Language Centres
Each year hundreds of thousands of people come to the UK to learn English and gain qualifications. In Northern Ireland we offer a wide range of English language courses, all accredited to high British Council standards. Courses can be taken at Queen's University ELU, the University of Ulster CELT, as well as at Foyle Language School, North West Academy and International House Belfast. Wherever you choose to study, there will be local language support.
 Boarding Schools
Northern Ireland schools combine tradition with progressive preparation for life in the modern world. Schools are welcoming and supportive and most boarding departments are small and friendly.
