Darwin now
A stunning exhibition to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth.

Who was Charles Darwin? Why was he so controversial? Why is he still relevant today?

When Charles Darwin first published his theory of evolution he must have realised his ideas would be controversial but he probably didn’t expect that controversy to still be rumbling on 150 years later! Evolution? Creationism? Intelligent design? Is man as a species still evolving?

Darwin Now is a stunning exhibition created by the British Council to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book ‘On the Origin of Species’.  The exhibition explores the origins of Darwin’s book, outlines his central ideas and explains how those ideas are as important to us today as they were when they were first published.
