Building lasting partnerships between schools

Connecting Classrooms builds lasting partnerships between schools in the UK and India and other countries around the world. Through these partnerships, the programme develops trust and understanding between young people in different societies, creating a safer and more connected world for the future.

WHAT IS CONNECTING CLASSROOMS?

Connecting Classrooms offers collaborative projects for learners, professional development for teachers, school leaders and local authority co-ordinators, and eligibility for school participation in International School Awards.

WHY GET INVOLVED?

International partnerships enrich the curriculum, improve skills and motivation and help schools and local authorities to meet core government objectives.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED?

If your State Department of Education or School Management has an agreement with the British Council you may download the application form and guidance notes here.

Follow the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and get the world to follow you on BBC!

The British Council and BBC World Class invite your school to join the celebrations of the World Cup 2010 through a giant global online photo gallery that will showcase contributions from schools, just like yours, from across the world.

To take part, you must follow 3 simple steps:
