What causes bad mood: lack of daylight or genes?

Dr Sulev Kõks studies neurogenetics at Tartu University Physiology Institute.  In his research he is trying to find out how much genes have to do with depression and mental disorders. President Rüütel awarded Sulev Kõks with the Cultural Foundation's Young Scientist Prize of the Year in 2005.

Cafe Scientifique will be held in Estonian language this time.
