Courses and Qualifications
Essential information specifically for Estonian students intending to study in the UK.

Undergraduate study describes the first degree you study at a university or college of higher education. Undergraduate degrees are also referred to as first degrees.

Give yourself time to consider your options! This decision will affect the next 3-4 years of your life, so it's worth getting it right first time round.

Postgraduate study pages aim to give guidance to Estonian students wishing to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK. There are thousands of different postgraduate qualifications on offer in 104 universities and colleges of higher education. The best place to start looking is the Education UK website.

The UK offers high quality and rigorous academic standards. UK degrees are respected and recognised throughout the world by academics and employers.

As further education in the UK is so diverse there is no direct comparison in Estonia. Some courses would be comparable to vocational training available in Estonia from kutsehariduskeskus leading up to rakenduskõrgharidus level.

Anyone and everyone can study for further education! Many students in further education are aged from 16 to 19, they go there as soon as they leave school. Even more students are 19 and over, many returning to education as mature students after working or raising a family, or working and returning to education part-time. This all-round diversity is one of the great advantages that further education colleges have to offer.

Subject information sheets provide you with more detailed information on different subject areas from veterinary studies to performing arts.
