IELTS exam

• Candidates can borrow  “The IELTS Specimen Pack” from the exam centre. This includes a full practice test with answer key so you can gain experience in the format of the test and get an idea of your level. These materials can be borrowed after bringing payment receipt to British Council office. Please note that candidates are not allowed to write in these books and have to return the books and CD-s to the receptionist on the day of the examination.
• Sample tests can be found on the IELTS homepage www.ielts.org
• Prepare for IELTS examination by participating in IELTS pre-tests at the British Council.
• You can also come to IELTS briefing sessions where you will be given tips and practical advice for success on the exam day. Look for the next IELTS briefing dates here.

IELTS pretest will take place on 20 February 2008. Please register for the briefing by calling 6257788.

Cambridge exams

Cambridge exams pre-testing is a unique opportunity to get valuable experience before you take a "live" examination and it is free of charge.
