This year at the university of Warwick has been a very enriching experience for me. Choosing to pursue my higher studies in this university and particularly in the Centre for English Language Teacher Education (CELTE), is one of my best decisions ever.  I felt the need not only for theoretical knowledge but for the chance to consolidate theory with professional practice.

As usual, the starting point when I thought about going through this experience, was the British Council. This institution has usually been my best resort throughout my studies until I got my B.A degree in English Literature. When I started the procedure of applying to English Universities, I consulted the British Council for advice as I was wondering around a boxful of prospectuses of various universities. It was really of great help in providing the appropriate answers to my questions about studies in the UK.

I felt that the year I spent studying in Britain was a turning point in my academic career and personal life as well. On the academic level, The MA in English Language Teaching and Multimedia I followed was tailor-made to my needs as a teacher at the Institut National des Postes et Télécommunications. Since I was interested in a way of combining both English Language Teaching and Technology, this opportunity would help to develop those aspects of my knowledge of teaching aspects and open up new perspectives for my career. It was also a chance to study in a new educational system where I touched new ways of approaching teaching. In fact, the staff in the CELTE made every endeavour to help promote independent learning as a helpful way to guide students to build on their acquired knowledge and experience. On the personal level, this experience proved to be an ideal chance of interacting with students from different countries, of discovering a new culture and a new environment.

My experience in the UK will remain one of the most wonderful times in my life and I would like to give credit to the British Council and its cooperative staff for their professional guidance and support.
