Universidad de Exeter

The University of Exeter traces its origins to the nineteenth-century, and received its Royal Charter (full University status) in 1955.

Exeter currently ranks in the Top 20 UK Universities (out of 100+) in all the major league tables  – The Times, Sunday Times, Telegraph, Independent and Guardian newspapers.  It was also named UK University of the Year 07-08 by the Times Higher Education Supplement.

Exeter has around 14,000 students across three campuses – two in Exeter, and one near Falmouth in Cornwall.  The University is large enough to offer excellent facilities and support services, but is still small enough to retain a very safe and friendly atmosphere.  This may reflect in our fantastic student satisfaction ratings; Exeter has ranked in the Top 10 for student satisfaction for three consecutive years according to the National Student Survey. Furthermore in the 2007-08 survey, ten subjects were rated No 1 in the UK for overall satisfaction: Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, Mechanically-based Engineering, Physics, Archaeology, Classics, German, Sport Science.

Ubicación

Exeter University is situated on one of the most attractive campuses in Britain, built around a country estate overlooking Exeter. You will study in a superb green environment with lakes, woodland, parkland and gardens, yet Exeter’s High Street is just a 15-minute walk away. Our students appreciate a safe and enjoyable environment for study in a location that combines the virtues of both a campus and city-centre University.

Exeter has a population of about 115,000 and is consistently rated in national surveys as one of the best places to live in the UK. It is easy to visit other parts of the country from Exeter. There are excellent rail links to London (the fastest takes two hours) and other major cities, including through trains to Scotland. The motorway network links the South West directly to London, the Midlands, South Wales and the North of England, and ferries go to France and Northern Spain from the nearby city of Plymouth.

Hospedaje
Students should apply for a single study bedroom in self-catering apartments on campus or in the city. Any student applying for the full academic year is guaranteed accommodation if applications are received before 31 July prior to arrival.
