Universidad de Westminster

Originally established in 1838 as Britain’s first Polytechnic and rededicated as the University of Westminster 1st December 1992, the University of Westminster has a strong tradition of educating students for professional life. The University combines a long and distinguished history of educational achievement with forward-looking courses, attuned to the latest developments in technology, culture and science.

Based in the heart of Central London and close to the centres of business, commerce, finance, government and media, the University has achieved some of the highest scores for teaching quality. Westminster is highly regarded for applied research and has been awarded the ‘Queen’s Award for Enterprise’ for our success in the creation of international partnerships and international student recruitment.

Ubicación

London is a world city and the University of Westminster is based in the Heart of Central London. Three of our four campuses are located in the hub of the political and cultural centres of the city, including the Houses of Parliament, the West End Theatres, Museums and shopping districts.

University halls of residence, located on or near our campuses. All rooms are single rooms, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities (except for the Harrow Campus and the Marylebone campus where each room has a private bathroom). Every hall has internet access. You could also choose to live in private accommodation or live in a family home.
Actividades

The University has a number of student clubs, including the international student society, its own newspaper The Smoke. As a Study Abroad student at the University you will have access to all the same facilities as a full degree student and you can also take advantage of the cultural and social activities afforded by the University’s location in the vibrant centre of London.

The University has 4 campuses, 3 in the heart of central London and 1, the Harrow Campus, built on a Greenfield site with its own tube station, is located only 30 minutes from the city centre. Each campus has a library housing both printed and electronic materials relevant to the subject areas taught on the campus. In addition, each campus houses several computer laboratories, and a cafeteria. Other facilities at the University include industry standard research and teaching facilities, two gymnasiums, two student’s Union bars, a nightclub, university bookshop (located at the Marylebone campus).
