ARTISTIC POLICY Theatre Alibi are contemporary storytellers, creating work for all ages that moves freely between the intimate and the epic, and aspires to be inventive, joyful, moving, vivid, intricate, and ambitious. Productions are marked by a passion for the live event – actors as storytellers, utterly present with their audience, live music and puppetry presented with inventiveness that embraces action that might seem unstageable. Theatre Alibi tours productions for both adults and children to small and mid-scale theatres.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Lost & Found Tells the touching story of two children, one Polish, one English, whose lives are linked by what happened in a snowy forest long before they were born. Inventive storytelling and a live score for cello. 5–10 year olds. 60 minutes, no interval. 3 actors, 1 cellist, 1 stage manager. Scale of venue: small – medium Cobbo An off-the-wall tale of mad love. A lonely woman falls in love with a swan with an all too human past. Inventive physical performance, puppetry, film and a live score on marimba and sax. Adults from 15 upwards. 90 minutes, no interval. 4 actors, 2 musicians, 1 technical manager, 1 stage manager. Some strong language and sexual references . Scale of venue: small – medium The Crowstarver The powerful and moving story of 'Spider' Sparrow. Spider is 'different' and gets bullied by other children. But his amazing gift with animals ultimately wins the respect and admiration of all around him. Inventive storytelling, puppetry and live music for violin and piano. Children & adults From 8 upwards. 90 minutes, plus interval. 5 actors, 2 musicians, 1 technical manager, 1 stage manager. FUTURE PRODUCTIONS The Wooden Prima Donna The funny and touching story of Little Miss Georgette, stupendous star of Bobelenko’s Travelling Circus. 'Little Miss G' may be made of wood, but she’s set her sights on a glittering future way beyond the circus.
