ARTISTIC POLICY Theatre Absolute commissions, produces, and tours new plays that are bold, uncompromising, and contemporary. The company’s work has a hard-edged aesthetic that is founded on a heightened narrative text and strong use of rhythm, music, and soundscape. The work tells the stories of ordinary people caught in extraordinary situations to create an intensely emotional experience for both actor and audience alike.

WRAP-AROUND Theatre and writing workshops available, led by writer and artistic director Chris O’Connell. The theatre workshops use ZERO as a starting point and explores major components at the heart of Theatre Absolute’s work. The participants will be challenged to get to grips with the creation of an imaginative framework, with character, language, story, and soundscape. Often these components begin as the smallest of ideas, so how can they be worked up, and how do they become the spine around which Theatre Absolute makes its work. Duration 2 hours.
