ARTISTIC POLICY Stacy Makishi is a Hawaii-born, London-based artist who works in a variety of media including physical theatre, live art, film, and one to one public interventions. She is committed to producing intelligent, challenging, and often humorous works that have been called literate and uncanny. Whether she takes on a horror film, fashion show, immigration border, or psychic intervention, her work is infused with surreal humour.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Stay! Elizabeth Taylor lifts the petticoats of love gone to the dogs. Noir collides with Pet Rescue in this hilarious examination of co-dependence, malicious domination and subversion of the natural order. (Duration 45 minutes, 2 performers, 2 on the road) Bull: The True Story Here “lies” a true story about luck, maps, kidnap, a lost ransom, lost love, donuts, Hawaii 5-0, Fargo, betrayal and lies. This is a true story. (47 mins, 1 on stage, 3 on the road.) You Are Here…But Where am I? Part installation, part one to one interrogation. A political intervention and poetic collaboration between an audience member who unknowingly creates their own personal passport. (Duration can vary, 1 performer, 2 on the road.)
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS Around the World in a Lunar Day is an upliftingly sad and elegiac tale about love, loss and moonlight. (1 performer, comprised of 3 x 20 minute separate sets, each as a standalone piece) Drive takes us on a journey via Route 66, Freudian Drive Theory and quantum mechanics. A rowdy multimedia ride of a lifetime. (1 performer, 1 hour duration)
