ARTISTIC POLICY Motiroti creates visual and live arts for public and open spaces using a variety of live, recorded, and digital media. Motiroti’s internationally acclaimed work transforms perceptions of culture, identity, and interconnectivity. Projects are interdisciplinary, widely engaging, and accessible in local and international contexts. Current work includes large-scale projections, immersive installations, online collaboration, public participation, and illustrated performance.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS 360° A programme examining cultural dynamics between Britain, India and Pakistan. 60x60 Secs One-minute films on diasporic identity made by artists and film makers from Britain, India and Pakistan. Each film examines the complexities of hybrid cultures and migration, lines and invisible borders of nationhood, through animation, documentary No. of people required to accompany/technical support is negotiable.
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS The New Collaboration (culmination of 360°) researches artistic and social impacts of migration patterns of the South Asian diaspora in Europe. An immersive film & media installation with live interventions including interactive participatory elements and events. Journeys of Love and More Love is a live installation with edible interludes, on how food migration and culinary hybrids provide sensory landscapes and politico-cultural narratives to everyday life. Co-production with Napoli International Festival. Parks Project will be a sustainable outdoor project on the theme of home and exile, in partnership with heritage institutions and public service providers. Events are situated outdoors, including virtual guided tours using locative and mobile technology.
WRAP-AROUND Workshops, discussions and presentations are available to accompany each project and are created bespoke in dialogue with venues/presenters. Interactive audience opportunities are also a feature of the Company’s work.
