ARTISTIC POLICY
The Watermill seeks to spread knowledge and understanding about the arts through the production of plays and related activities encompassing touring, education, workshops, community work, new writing and the nurturing of talented individuals. It also seeks to address issues of economic, cultural and physical exclusion through tackling access problems and ensuring equality of opportunity in all its undertakings. The Watermill strives to achieve excellence in all its activities, to maintain its national and international reputation for quality work and to be a major contributor to British theatre.

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
London Assurance Directed by Nikolai Foster A romantic and fast comedy about a father and son who become rivals in love. First performed in 1841, it brought overnight success to playwright Dion Boucicault. (150 mins, with interval, 11 on stage, 18 on the road.)

WRAP-AROUND
A programme of workshops is devised for each venue in conjunction with the host. They range from “Page to Stage”, use of language and the body, specific text work, lighting/technical, all-day sessions with young directors or acting students, to Post-performance discussions and sessions with younger people. All ages and professional, student and amateur bodies are included within the range of work.
