ARTISTIC POLICY Established in 1967, TAG is a professional Scottish theatre company producing work for children and young people, enjoyed by all ages. TAG is part of the Citizens’ Theatre, Glasgow and regularly tours high quality theatre productions to venues and schools. The company also runs a diverse range of creative learning projects. TAG’s work is designed to fire imaginations and ignite learning. Based in Glasgow, TAG works both in the UK and abroad.
REVIEW EXTRACTS ‘Beautifully acted… superb, high-energy performances from an outstanding cast… a masterclass.’ The Scotsman (Yellow Moon)
‘One of the best new plays of the year… tremendous energy… engrossing and engaging and well worth a look.’ The Times (Yellow Moon)
‘(TAG) tell their stories… with a clarity, imagination, and total lack of condescension that sets the mind racing.’ The Herald (King Matt)
CURRENT PRODUCTION Yellow Moon By David Greig. A small Scottish town, a murder and two teenagers on the run. Performed with no set and no props just striking fast-paced storytelling. Includes strong language and some challenging issues. (75 mins, with no interval, 4 on stage, five on the road.)
WRAP-AROUND TAG has created drama workshops to accompany Yellow Moon along with a teachers’ resource pack. TAG regularly runs general drama workshops, bespoke residencies, post-show discussions, lecture demonstrations and masterclasses for amateur and professional audiences, from pre-school to adult. The company also creates comprehensive education packs to accompany productions. The pack for Yellow Moon and many other TAG productions are available to download from the company’s website, where you can also watch videos clips of Yellow Moon and purchase the published script. Yellow Moon provides an excellent stimulus for discussion, not only about the theatrical process, but also regarding issues arising from the narrative of the play (including, amongst others: self harm, family break-ups, runaways, the cult of the celebrity in our society and suicide).
