ARTISTIC POLICY
Mimbre fuses world-class acrobatics with theatre and dance, into a physical language with which to tell stories and create imagery. The company’s fresh and contemporary performances are of a high artistic quality and its impressive sets transform outdoor spaces into unexpected places for audiences to get immersed in. Mimbre also strives to present and encourage a strong and positive image of women, both in its performances and workshops.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
The Bridge With humour, daring and exceptional physicality, The Bridge reverberates with our battle to defend our place in the world, whilst trying not to destroy it… again. A spectacular, outdoor, acrobatic theatre production directed by Joseph Alford (Theatre 0). (45 mins, 3 on stage, 4–5 on the road.)

Sprung A beautifully staged acrobatic show, transfixing the audience from the atmospheric beginning through to the energetic acrobatic end – grace and strength mixed with vivid smiles and cheeky personalities. Conceived and directed by Flick Ferdinando (Company F.Z). (25 mins, 3 on stage and on the road.)

Memento Three enchanting ladies from an elegant and romantic past perform elaborate acrobatic tableaux. Contrasting delicate costumes with physical strength, these characters make their acrobatic journey through the admiring public. (30–45 mins, 3 on stage and on the road.)

Cabaret Acts Three cabaret acts available – Hopp, Dream and 6 Feat – all performed with Mimbre’s trademark innovative style and outstanding acrobatic skills. (10 mins approx each.)

WRAP-AROUND
Mimbre offers a range of education work that suit all abilities and backgrounds: from workshops for schools and young people, adult beginners’ classes or masterclasses for professional performers. The workshops use acrobatics as a perfect tool to encourage people to work together, build trust, and improve physical health. Mimbre especially puts emphasis on encouraging women to realise and use their physical strength and offer women-only workshops as well as mixed ones. In the company’s education work, as in its performances, physicality goes hand in hand with creativity, with formal or informal presentations by the participants at the end of the workshop. Mimbre also takes part in residencies or commissions to create new or site-specific work – this can be in connection with a workshop or on its own.
