ARTISTIC POLICY
Gravity & Levity was set up by Artistic Director Lindsey Butcher to create and tour innovative, authentic, high quality aerial dance which is truly accessible and can reach as wide an audience as possible. The company aims to challenge perceptions of space for both performer and viewer, offering a unique experience for its audiences by redefining the “dance floor” and questioning what and where a performance plane can be.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Shift Fuses contemporary circus, innovative dance, movement theatre and live music in a sculptural, transformative environment through which the audience promenades. Choreography by Charlotte Vincent, Charles Linehan and Stomp co-creators Luke Cresswell & Steve McNicholas.

WRAP-AROUND
Gravity & Levity offers venues the opportunity to book a workshop in conjunction with the company’s performances to develop and enhance understanding of the creative process. They can be tailored to suit a particular audience or venue but aerial workshops on set can only be accommodated when the company is playing more than one night.
