REVIEW EXTRACTS
‘A show to shout about from the rooftops… the finest piece of classic theatre Scotland has produced in half a decade’ Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman (Peer Gynt)

‘A perfect and perfectly unexpected marriage of music and theatre… the songs of Craig and Charlie Reid are a true gift to the stage.’ Mark Fisher, The Guardian (Sunshine on Leith)

‘Intelligent, grown-up and mesmerising… cements the Rep’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with.’ Claire Sawers, Metro (A Midsummer Night’s Dream)

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Peer Gynt By Henrik Ibsen in a new version by Colin Teevan (co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland). This radical new production promises a mix of trolls, madmen, dancing girls and live music. A theatrical roller-coaster ride through one of the greatest works of modern literature. Contains strong language, violence and sexually explicit content. (310 mins including 20 min interval, 20 on stage, 25 on the road.)

Sunshine on Leith By Stephen Greenhorn (featuring the songs of The Proclaimers). A fantastic, fun and poignant night’s entertainment. Families, relationships and life in Leith are not all plain sailing in this exceptional love story about everyday life in Scotland. (305 mins including 20 min interval, 15 on stage, plus 10 piece band, 35 on the road.)

Dr Korczak’s Example By David Greig. A remarkable man attempts to run an orphanage for Jewish children in war-torn Warsaw. An engrossing, amusing and moving story exploring how we bring up children in a complex moral world. (66 mins, no interval, 3 on stage, 6 on the road.)

WRAP-AROUND
Education workshops and discussion groups, primarily for young adults. Talks by artistic directors/writers.
