ARTISTIC POLICY
Blind Summit Theatre is doing for the ancient Japanese art form of Bunraku puppetry what Southpark did for cartoons. The company subverts the art form to tell grown up stories. Its stringless puppets are works of art in themselves and its exceptional performers are winning world wide acclaim. This is puppetry with attitude.

REVIEW EXTRACTS
'If puppetry is ever going to be the next rock ’n roll these animators may well be its frontmen.' Time Out

'Take a note of their name – you'll be hearing lots more of them.' The Herald

'Mad, bad and beautiful in equal measure.' The Guardian

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
Low Life A gin-soaked cabaret of puppets and people inspired by poems and short stories of Charles Bukowski. Beautiful, funny and poetic. (60 mins, 4 on stage, 6 on the road, some strong language, suitable for audiences aged 15+.)

Pirate Puppetry A unique piece of “invisible puppetry theatre”: puppets descend on an unsuspecting audience in a public space and create mayhem while their puppeteers try to control them. (15–20 mins, 4 on stage, 5 on the road, suitable for all ages.)

FUTURE PRODUCTIONS
Call of the Wild Adaptation of Jack London's classic children's tale. Large-scale shadow puppetry, life-sized puppet dogs and music. For family audiences. In development with Crying Out Loud, supported by the Helen Hamlyn Trust.

1984 Adaptation of George Orwell's classic novel with new script by Annie Siddons. In development with Battersea Arts Centre for autumn 2008.

Faeries Collaboration with Will Tuckett at Royal Opera House. July 2008
