ARTISTIC POLICY Momentum Dance Theatre is a professional contemporary dance theatre company. Their repertoire features highly theatrical, thematic choreography using the dancers’ technical skill alongside emotionally charged, character-driven performance. Momentum Dance Theatre collaborates with musicians and designers, resulting in visually and aurally evocative dance theatre performance.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Etched – Momentum Dance Theatre Etched explores the haunting images and personal human reactions to the holocaust. The emotionally charged choreography is enhanced by a stark visual setting and evocative cello music. 30 minutes (no interval), 8 performers, 6 crew 10 – Momentum Dance Theatre and Momentum Youth Dance Mixed-bill programme celebrating Momentum’s 10th anniversary featuring Momentum Dance Theatre and their youth dance company. WRAP-AROUND Etched Workshops/Choreographic Residencies Dance Theatre workshops/choreographic residencies available aimed at school/college students age 13+ or dance students/professionals. Venues can choose one of more of the following focuses for the workshops/residencies: Contact work, developing thematic choreography, working with music/design. Workshops can also be tailor made for individual requirements. Length of workshop/residency is dependent on venue – minimum of 1.5 hours. Post-Performance discussions, lecture demonstrations, seminars available with the choreographer, creative team, performers. Suitable for students aged 13+ 10 Workshops/Choreographic Residencies Workshops/Residenices available aimed at school college students age 9+ or dance students/professionals. Venues can choose one or more of the following focuses for the workshops/residencies Contemporary Dance – Technique, Repertoire, Developing Choreography and Performance skills (based on repertoire from 10) Physical Theatre – developing Contact work and/or character driven performance (based on repertoire from 10) Urban Style – Technique, Repertoire, Developing Choreography and Performance skills (based on repertoire from 10) Workshops can also be tailor made for individual requirements.
