WRAP-AROUND
Michael Clark Company offers masterclasses for both professional dancers and advanced dance students. Led by two of Michael Clark Company’s long term dancers, Kate Coyne and Melissa Hetherington, the classes are 90 minutes followed by a question and answer session. The classes are generally aimed at dancers 16 years and older and the maximum number of participants is 20.
The Michael Clark Company masterclass provides participants with an opportunity to learn material for the current touring productions. Michael Clark’s choreography is highly technical with a strong foundation in classical Ballet and an equally articulate use of the upper body. In addition to setting works on his own Company, Clark’s choreography has been performed by Rambert Dance Company, George Piper Dances and Mikhail Baryshnikov to name a few.
