ARTISTIC POLICY Anjali Dance Company is a pioneering professional company that exists to realise and celebrate through dance the potential of people with learning disabilities. The Company is committed to changing global thinking about who can dance, and demonstrating new artistic possibilities within the dance genre by creating original dance works of excellence performed by dancers with learning disabilities.

CURRENT PRODUCTIONS Unexploded Stories All new work imagined, choreographed and performed by the dancers. A visually engaging collection of intimate dance pieces fused together by passion, purpose, and a theme of dreams and desires. 80 minutes including one interval, six on stage, ten on the road. Suitable for all ages although intended for 12 plus and adults. No strong language, No violence, No sexually explicit content, No nudity (some dancers in swimwear).
FUTURE PRODUCTIONS A new production in development will be ready to premiere in March 2010. A major new full-length work featuring a collaboration between Anjali, an internationally known choreographer and artists with backgrounds in physical theatre. Approximately 90 minutes with one interval, six on stage, ten on the road.
WRAP-AROUND Anjali Dance Company can offer a range of education and outreach opportunities, in association with performances or stand alone. Workshops led by the Company’s dancers with learning disabilities are available and can be extended to residencies. Dancers, staff and choreographers are also available for post-performance discussions, talks, lecture demonstrations and seminars. Anjali’s outreach work is supported by extensive written and audio-visual materials where appropriate/required.
