EYPE AUTUMN 2010 ‘BOOK ‘N AUTHOR’ WEEKS LITERARY FESTIVAL
11 – 15 April 2011

The first of two annual Spring and Autumn intimate and informal Literary Festivals in a spectacular setting with a cornucopia of top national and local writers presenting their current titles with active audience participation, book sales and signing sessions. Mainly biographies and autobiographies but also historical novels, current affairs, travel and some light entertainment. Confirmed authors are Christine McFadden, Charles Ellingworth, Annelise Freisenbruch, Gavin Pretor Pinney,  Henry Hemming, Juliet Gardiner, Robert Radcliffe, Patrick French and Nick Jubber.

BAY LIT FESTIVAL (BIENNIAL)

Biennial, bilingual, (Welsh and English) multicultural celebration of Welsh literature. Organised by the Welsh Academi. The 2005 programme featured Howard Marks amongst other writers.

CAMBRIDGEWORDFEST
9 - 11 April 2011

An annual literature festival held in the spring in Cambridge and surrounding area. It aims to provide a richly packed weekend of some of the best in contemporary fiction, political debate, workshops and events for children. It is a festival for writers as well as readers.Authors who have attended in the past include: Carol Ann Duffy, Lionel Shriver, Andrew Cowan, Kathryn Hughes, Helen Dunmore, Geraldine McCaughrean, Sandi Toksvig and Marina Lewcka.

LEIGH & WIGAN WORDS TOGETHER LITERARY FESTIVAL

An annual literary festival consisting of a fortnight of literary and associated events, a rich mix of fiction and non-fiction, poetry and prose. This year’s guests include Simon Hoggart, Joseph Delaney, publisher Julia Churchill, Tim Quinn, Editor of Marvel Comics, Steven McLaughlin and Ashley Hutchings to name but a few. With workshops, poetry slams, music and storytelling there is something for every age and taste.

TEXT FESTIVAL (BIENNIAL)

An international festival of contemporary poetry and text art that will consist of exhibitions, public art commissions, performances and workshops. Artists and poets participating in the festival include Lawrence Weiner, Caroline Bergvall, cris cheek, Alan Halsey, Hester Reeve, Shaun Pickard, Phil Davenport, and Caroline Thompson. The festival continues for 12 weeks.

WENLOCK POETRY FESTIVAL
9 - 11 April 2011

Annual celebration of the very best in poetry, held for the first time in the Shropshire town of Much Wenlock from 9 - 11 April 2011 under the patronage of Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, former Poet Laureate Andrew Motion and National Poet for Wales Gillian Clarke. The festival will build upon Shropshire's rich poetic heritage to make Much Wenlock - the heart of Houseman country - a national centre for poetry; celebrating its creativity, recognising its relevance and revelling in its beauty. This three day event will feature a full programme of events for both children and adults. Whether you are a regular at festivals or a newcomer to them, you will find something for you. Poets will be involved in both readings and workshops and in addition there will be some original ways of looking at poetry.
