March 2008

The British Council is one of the sponsors of the British Animation Awards. The seventh bi-annual ceremony was held on 13 March 2008 at BFI Southbank in London.

Celebrating the UK animation industry in all its forms, the awards aim to increase the profile and audience for British animation as well as encouraging emerging talent. The actual awards themselves are individual works of art created by animators (previous artists have included Nick Park, Tim Burton, Peter Lord and Gabor Csupo).
