Fashion Show and Lecture in Windhoek
In June 2002 UK fashion designer Walé Adeyemi was invited to Windhoek to participate in a fashion show to raise funds for the children's charity Lifeline.

Walé presented his Autumn/Winter 2002 collection at the Windhoek Country Club.

The fashion culture in Namibia is currently very vibrant. Young Namibian's are very fashion conscious, with lots of local designers starting up their own studios in Windhoek.

Walé and Monique Collignon, a designer from the Netherlands gave a joint lecture/workshop to 40 design and art students at the University of Namibia. Walé also found time to speak to the fashion students and critiqued their collection, helping to give inspiration and advice to the graduating students. Our local office in Namibia used Walé's visit to promote UK fashion design and education.

Since graduating from the Kent Institute of Art & Design, Walé has styled musicians such as Usher, Missy Elliot, Blue, Oxide and Neutrino, June Sarpong, The Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham and Dane Bowers. Other celebrities that have worn his clothes include Craig David, Alicia Keys, Robbie Williams and David Beckham. He is currently advising and designing a collection for leading fashion chain TopShop
