After hearing about the opportunity for staff to take part in the Erasmus programme from other colleagues, Mike undertook a teaching period in France for four days. He saw this as a chance to learn about overseas academic institutions and to open up links with staff in the IPAG Business School, Nice, France. It was also a great opportunity to learn about other cultures, meet staff and students and to encourage a reciprocal arrangement. He says he chose this particular institution as it was a totally different type of institution from his, with an international focus and very positive in Erasmus ideals.
"I feel a lot more positive about my job due to new challenges involved - I'd say revitalised and more confident. Variety definitely helps you do the job better!"
