Science & Society

Science affects our everyday lives in thousands of different ways, and the scientific advances of today will shape our lives in the future. People around the world are interested in creating wealth, using and adapting technologies for their own needs, having a say in democratic processes, using new media and engaging with popular arts, literature and culture. Particularly for the young, science and modernity are inseparable, and technology is culture. Images of a modern UK are unthinkable without science.
