ELTeCS project funding results spring/summer 2006

Initiating Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) activities in Gujarat and West Bengal

ELTeCS project funding results autumn 2003

1. Continuing Professional Development through English Teachers Clubs (ETCs)

Project manager: Amol Padwad, India
Aims:

To identify and train at least 50 resource persons from the three states of Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The states of Orissa, Kerala and Tamil Nadu are also likely to join.
To set up at least 15 ETCs by the end of the first phase, i.e. September, 2003, and enrolling at least 25 members in each club, thus getting at least 400 teachers directly involved.
To help each of these ETCs to organise at least two ELT activities during the second phase, thus putting the clubs into motion.
