Call for Speakers:
As usual, we welcome proposals related to General English Teaching to adults and/or younger learners; Business English Teaching and Teacher Training.
We are interested in talks or workshops given by practising teachers and teacher trainers which include practical, classroom-based experience and activities. These should refer to principles and may refer to educational theory, but a theoretical perspective should not be the main content.

Details Title: 'Children's Literature in Language Education - from Picture Books to Young Adult Fiction'
Hildesheim University and IATEFL Young Learner and Teenager SIG are organising an exciting and innovative international TEFL conference on children's literature which will cover a wide area, from the youngest learners to advanced language students.
We have secured plenary speakers of international reknown, and we are now inviting proposals for presentations within the following four strands, and proposals for workshops/readings by authors/storytellers in Strand 4:
- Strand 1: EFL extensive reading - reading for pleasure
- Strand 2: Original fiction for young adults and graded readers
- Strand 3: Picture books, poems, nursery rhymes and non-fiction for children
- Strand 4: Workshops with storytellers, illustrators and writers for children.
Please send your proposal (max. 300 words), affiliation and brief biodata (max. 50 words) to both of the following email addresses by 31 July 2009.
