Citizenship Education Programme
Our purpose is to work with educators and young people in Egypt and the UK to promote engaged, informed, critical and democratic citizens, in the context of governments’ plans for active citizenship.

Dreams + Teams is a British Council youth leadership international programme aimed at developing Young Leaders through sport. it challenges hundreds of local young people.
Global Xchange
Global Xchange is an international volunteer exchange programme for young people aged 18 – 25 years. A team of 18 volunteers work in a community in Egypt for three months and then in a UK community for three months.  The programme is a partnership between Voluntary Services Overseas and the British Council in the UK and Youth Association for Population and Development in Egypt.

Leadership in Community Development

Leadership in Community Development (LICD) is the transformational leadership programme that the Council is running in Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Algeria, and the UK.  “LICD” incorporates our previously known InterAction Leadership Programme. We aim to develop a powerful network of like-minded leaders to contribute to positive social change in their individual communities.
