Building on the success of our 2010 UK Qualifications Fair, the British Council organised its second fair on Saturday, 10 March 2012 at the Four Seasons hotel, Nile Plaza. The official inauguration was done by HMA James Watt, the British Ambassador for Egypt. The admission was free and the doors opened from 12.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
The fair was attended by parents, students, fresh graduates, postgraduates, professionals and employers, around 3,922 for the whole day from different backgrounds and interests. It presented a range of English qualifications, school certificates, and qualifications for professionals available in Egypt and in UK.
We had 38 key representatives from universities, institutes, and schools offering UK education and qualifications in Egypt mainly to answer questions about the range of English qualifications, school certificates, university degrees and qualifications for professionals available in Egypt.
Attendees and exhibitors expressed a very positive feedback about the information centre along with the fair booklet being an excellent guide for our visitors with registration of guests with contact details and areas of interest.
25 seminars and presentations were held during the event on the unrivalled variety of UK qualifications and education.
The Fair was sponsored by Unlimited Press; ten years of optimum educational services and British Midland International (BMI) and it included a prize draw for free air tickets to London presented by BMI for four winners.
