YOUNG LEARNERS
Give your child a headstart

What do we offer for young learners?

We run a winter programme and summer school for young learners offering courses in a child-friendly and safe learning environment
Our qualified and experienced young learner teachers are supported by Young Learner Assistants who support your children both inside and outside the classroom.
Your child can borrow books and DVDs from our Young Learner Learning Centre and will have an opportunity to take part in our Reader Development initiatives and British Council’s Global Art Competition

How will our courses help your children?

Each course is designed to give students a chance to learn English through a variety of interesting topics and themes
We cater to students’ different learning styles and strategies, which they are still developing at this young age
Your children will work in pairs and small groups, providing opportunities to focus on real English structures and communication, across all four skills of speaking, reading, listening, and writing
Our well-qualified and highly experienced teachers use activities such as games, songs, projects and role-plays to engage your child
We use computer software to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment in which the children feel comfortable and motivated to use English
In the winter, we offer stimulating book based courses with a variety of activities such as games, songs, videos, role-plays, drama, projects and real life tasks
In the summer, our task-based courses use video and project work to stimulate creativity, develop enquiring minds and improving your children’s English skills.

Students have the opportunity to take Cambridge Young Learners Exams (Starters, Movers and Flyers) as well as some of the adult exams such as PET, KET and FCE. See the exams section for more information.
