Educational institutions in the UK are reknowned worldwide for quality. Every year this reputation attracts many Egyptian students who wish to gain new qualifications and develop their potential by studying in the UK.

Egyptian students can apply for various scholarships offered by UK government departments, universities, public and private bodies and other sources.  Take a look at the scholarship and funding schemes available to you below.
THE CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP

The Chevening Scholarship is the British Government’s top scholarship scheme. It is only awarded only to Egypt’s brightest and most promising graduates and professionals.
 MBR Al Maktoum Foundation Scholarships
This scholarship program promises young students from countries within the League of Arab States including Egypt by financing Master's level study. Awards made under this programme will cover tuition fees, living costs, books and travel. Find out more

The Citadel Capital Scholarship Foundation

The Citadel Capital Scholarship Foundation was created in 2007, out of a strong will to contribute to national development through creating high calibre professionals to help enhance Egypt’s growth in all sectors. The Foundation is funded by an endowment from Citadel Capital to grant academic scholarships for talented and promising young Egyptian men and women to pursue master degrees and PhDs in all fields of study.  BP Cambridge Scholarships for Egypt

The Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme

Launched in May 2007,The Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme at Oxford University offers outstanding postgraduate students and young professionals, primarily from Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East, support for graduate studies at Oxford University complemented by a comprehensive leadership development programme.  Shell Centenary Scholarship
The Shell Centenary Scholarship fund offers postgraduate students from developing countries, including Egypt, the opportunity to study in the UK at partner universities - University of Cambridge, University of Durham, University of Edinburgh, Imperial College London, University of Leeds, the University of Oxford, and University College London.  OSI Middle East Cambridge Scholarships

The Open Society Foundation-London, a division of the Soros Foundation, is collaborating with the Cambridge Overseas Trust to fund postgraduate students from the Middle East at the University of Cambridge.

Ten scholarships will be awarded to applicants for 2010 from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Syria who plan to study for a PhD in order to pursue an academic career in their home country or region.
