Have you completed your post graduate studies in the UK?  Why not join the Alumni Association which operates in Egypt?

Become a member and enjoy the benefits of meeting fellow graduates and young professionals, exchange ideas and information, develop your network of contacts and take part in a wide range of social activities.

The Association of Graduates and Trainees from Britain in Egypt (AGTBE) was established by Egyptian Chevening Scholars to serve as a networking group for scholars and alumni in Egypt and others worldwide.

AGTBE members are talented professionals from a wide range of disciplines. AGTBE uses its network to promote the economic development of Egypt through projects which build links with the business community. AGTBE also organise a variety of activities for members including professional seminars, social events and outings.

‘In an initiative to support the UK Alumni to continue their life long learning and develop their career and profession in various ways, the British Council in Cairo is organising a two-day training in Leadership Skills. The Leadership training is designed to help Egyptian former Chevening scholars to develop the essential skills to influence and motivate their staff to achieve exceptional performance.’’

The British Embassy in Egypt honours the Chevening Scholars
On 24 June 2008, the British Embassy in Cairo hosted the Chevening Award Ceremony to honour Chevening Scholars returning from Postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. Celebrating Scholars who had their degrees in 2007 and also those who have won Chevening scholarships for the coming Academic year 2008/09. In addition, the British Ambassador, HMA Dominic Asquith presented certificates to fellows who were awarded Chevening Fellowships for specialised courses in the economics of energy, the environment, governance and public sector reform.
