Our aim is to be recognised as a world class source of data, analysis and knowledge about International Higher Education (IHE) both overseas and in the UK, providing unique thought leadership and strategic educational intelligence. We will:

• Provide a unique digital platform for subscribers/users to gain knowledge of and about global IHE trends and policy development
• Support evidence-led policy decisions deriving from intelligence in IHE
• Support global thought leadership in IHE
• Provide dedicated online resources and publications on IHE.

• Over the past few years, the British Council has been convening high-level meetings that bring together a unique mix of policy makers and practitioners to exchange knowledge and ideas on higher education, skills and innovation. The purpose of these policy dialogues, often held on a bilateral basis, is to inform and strengthen policies and practice, bringing benefits at both a national and regional level.  These initiatives also play a critical role in establishing long-term trust and sustained partnerships between HE institutions worldwde.
  
  
• So what will be different about Global Policy Dialogues under the IHE strategy? Our aim is to map and connect these events on a global basis and to identify the core, common themes and issues of interest to the participants. We want to capture and give access to the information coming out of the policy dialogues, using a digital platform and other media, to strengthen external and internal debate and thought leadership.

Students and Alumni is about:

• Student mobility - encouraging and supporting international students coming into UK education, and UK students undertaking study abroad; providing support and services to UK universities   
• Student experience - internationalising the experience of international and UK students, embedding cultural understanding and a global perspective at the centre of international study

Alumni - a major British Council alumni initiative, building global networks of alumni, developing services and linking to UK universities' alumni work.
