DelPHE partner finding
User tips

We have put together some useful tips for using DelPHE partner finding online. Before entering the site, please read through this advice. Once registered as a member, users can manage their own profile and account information as detailed below. For technical or registration queries or if you have any feedback on the site please contact us.

Registration
All mandatory registration fields are indicated by a red *. Make sure that you submit a valid website address for your HEI to avoid delays in authenticating your request. 'DelPHE interest' and ‘experience’ are free text fields for members to provide further information about their relevant interests in DelPHE and area of expertise. Both fields have a word capacity limit of about 120 words. Try to be specific about what you are looking for so that you are more likely to be contacted. In particular be targeted about the subject areas and countries you wish to work in. Once complete remember to ‘submit details’.

Registration requests will be authenticated by the British Council within 5 working days and an e-mail sent once approved. Users will not be able to log into the site with their password until registration has been approved.

Only eligible HEIs will be able to register with DelPHE partner finding. A broad definition of Higher Education Institutions has been adopted for DelPHE; it includes universities, colleges, research institutes and medical institutions.

HEIs who wish to develop South - South (developing - developing) partnerships for DelPHE are encouraged to contact the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). The ACU is responsible for an element of programme delivery in supporting South-South partnerships and will provide proposal development advice. Contact: delphe@acu.ac.uk

Search for partners
Anybody can search the site for a list of member HEIs around the world looking for a partner. However you must be a registered member to view full details and contact information.

To search for partners, users can limit their search criteria by selecting on one or more options from the drop down menu and/or check boxes. To search by subject area you must first select a theme. The keyword search will pick up words from the free text fields.

New members
Every new HEI that registers as a member on the site will receive a ‘new’ tag listing. Existing members can check which new HEIs have registered since they last logged into the site. To do this, log in as normal and ‘search for partners’; all new HEIs will be tagged as ‘new’.

Contact members
Get in touch with HEIs you think would fit your interests and needs for DelPHE. Remember to be specific so that you are more likely to be contacted.
