Changes to UK visa application procedure in Afghanistan
Afghan nationals intending to travel to the UK who are in receipt of sponsorship from the British government can now remain in Kabul while their visa applications are processed in New Delhi. The British Council in Kabul will submit all necessary supporting documents to the British Embassy, Kabul who will facilitate the process

International Workshop Geoscience Information Systems for Natural Hazard Management
The round 5 project "Strengthening of Universities at Kabul and Peshawar" organised a workshop which took place at  the University of Peshawar from 12 -13 February 2013. The project website hosted by the University of Peshawar provides links to papers presented at the workshop.

Pakistan Composites Show
The first Composites Show in Pakistan was hosted by the lead partners of the current DelPHE project led by the National University of Sciences and Technology, Rawalpindi. The event took place on 05 December in Islamabad and was well attended by industry, academics and members of the Pakistani Government. First International DelPHE Conference on Construction Management in Developing Countries: Education, Training, Research and Practice (10-13 March, 2013)
This conference is organised by the Faculty of Architecture, University of Khartoum, Sudan, and the School of Construction Management and Engineering, University of Reading, UK as part of their round five DelPHE project "Developing educational and professional courses in sustainable construction, engineering, management and social housing in Sudan"

International DelPHE conference "Sustainable Built Environment for now and the Future"
Our round 5 project "Developing Knowledge Regarding Sustainable Construction in the National University of Civil Engineering of Vietnam" (Partners: National University of Civil Engineering of Vietnam; Loughborough University, UK; University of Liverpool, UK; Queens' University Belfast, UK) will be hosting this conference in Hanoi on 26-27 March, 2013 and have released a call for papers. International Conference on Disaster Education and Community Resilience
The University of Bindura in Zimbabwe will be hosting this conference on 26-27 March 2013 and are currently inviting submission of papers. Further details can be found in their flyer (pdf)
